If you are, then I’m so glad you’re here. We already have something in common. Both you and I are striving to support a child with SEN.

Get in touch

Whether you suspect your child has SEN or already has a diagnosis, it can feel like an overwhelming and stressful road ahead. From having a better understanding of your child, giving them the best support possible, navigating their nursery, school and social requirements to managing family dynamics throughout the process, I am here to help.

With my own experiences as a SEN parent and my extensive career in early years education, I offer advice, guidance and professional handholding to give you an individual SEN experience. Tailored for your circumstances, we can create an insightful and positive journey so that both you and your child feel better supported.

WiSEN’s founder

Meet Selina

I’m Selina, a SEN parent and early years education specialist. With three children of my own, two of whom have special educational needs, I know first-hand the bewildering and challenging time parents can face to best understand their child’s needs and create a positive SEN experience for everyone involved.
Whether it’s children being misunderstood, parents feeling out of their depth and awash with information or creating a common strategy across family, carers, nursery and school – there can be lots to navigate. This is why I offer SEN mentoring to support and guide you through the challenges to create a set-up that works for everyone.

Why me?

As well as being a SEN parent, I also have an extensive background in early years education. I am a qualified Montessori Teacher of 14 years, an Ofsted-rated Outstanding Montessori Nursery School Owner and Co-Manager. Additionally, I have worked as an Early Years SENCO for the past six years.
My interest has always been in working with young children, and the Montessori approach truly resonates with me in terms of holistically supporting a child’s development. Over time, I have found myself drawn towards helping children with additional needs to enable them to enjoy the same opportunities and experiences as their peers.
I have specialist knowledge in Autism Spectrum Condition and ADHD, but I have experience in working with many other needs, such as

  • Emotional/Behavioural and or Social Difficulties
  • Speech and Language Difficulties
  • Specific Learning Disabilities such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dysgraphia, and Dyscalculia
  • Sensory Processing Disorder
  • Physical Impairment

I live in southwest London near Richmond with my husband and three children (plus our beloved dog Coco!)
